FAST FORWARD
REIMAGINING OUR REGION'S TRANSIT NETWORK
Fairfield and Suisun Transit (FAST) implemented FAST Forward, to evaluate current local FAST services. After significant technical analysis and community engagement, the FAST Forward team redesigned the local FAST routes to address the needs of the community now and in the future.
What about your friends, family, and neighbors?
Fairfield and Suisun Transit (FAST) wants to adapt to changing times and better serve you.
We know you want more transportation choices, and we want to give them to you.

While we've been operating transit services since 1975, a lot has changed since then – especially this past year. Some people now work from home, take classes online, and have groceries delivered. Other people, including essential workers, still commute everyday. We want to be poised to better serve everyone as times continue to change.

FAST Forward is our first step towards creating a network that takes you where you need to go easily and on-time.
PROPOSED SERVICE CHANGES
Routes 1, 3, 6 will be designed to provide better access to major destinations around the city. Buses will come more frequently and will provide services later in the evenings.
Routes 2, 4, 5, 7, 8 will be transformed into microtransit zones.

LET'S FAST FORWARD TO BETTER TRANSIT
What is microtransit?
Microtransit is a modern public transit system that works similar to Uber or Lyft. You request a ride, walk to a major bus stop or meeting point as instructed, and board a shuttle that will drop you off at a location near or at your destination.
Rides will be faster and wait times will be less than the existing services.
